Forest fire laboratory

It is dedicated to the quantification of physical properties of complex forest fuels, as a basis for different applications in the fields of defense and fire prevention and bioenergy: evaluation of fire danger, effects of preventive treatments, consumption of fuel in fires, CO2 emissions, evaluation of fuel energy capacity, analysis of variation of moisture and other properties. It serves as support to the experiments made in the combustion tunnel and in the field. It has got sensors equipment that can be used in the field.
